Sara Carter | Co-founder
To my fellow technology and business friends, my name is Sara.
I am a co-founder of Enlightened Digital, a lifelong Bostonian and an entrepreneur. My husband and I both work as consultants. I am also a freelance programmer, because I’m one of those crazy people who thinks coding is a blast.
I live with my husband, my two children and our labradoodle, Otis. In addition to tech, I’m also an amateur baker and a big history buff. For that reason, I love living in a city with such rich history and such rich pastries, although I would like to move somewhere with less snow.
As a kid, I enjoyed nothing more than taking things apart and putting them back together, much to my parents’ chagrin. Watches, radios, whatever I could get my hands on — it was all fair game. They were like puzzles to me; I loved to tinker around and figure out the inner workings of these captivating tools. This sense of wonder and curiosity carried over to who I am now. I am still endlessly fascinated by the new developments I see in the tech industry every day, only now I get to contribute to these developments in my own small way, which is even cooler.
I fell in love with technology because of the power it has to connect people all over the world, and I believe it is a tool that can help us create a better future. That’s why it fascinates me, and that’s why I’m writing about it here.
