Oracle OpenWorld 2017

When: October 1-5

Oracle’s annual convention for their customers and partners will cover everything from cloud computing, artificial intelligence, IT security, and big data analytics. That’s not even the half of it. CEO Mark HurdCEO Safra Catz, and CTO Larry Ellison will all deliver individual keynotes during the week as well as many other Oracle key players. The anticipated major announcement should be about Oracle’s fully automated and cloud-based database that Larry Ellison discussed earlier in the year. This database will cut costs for Oracle and its customers allowing them to have a mega competitive edge.

Beyond all things Oracle, there will be hundreds of collaborative learning sessions with experts, presentations from startups in Oracle’s accelerator program, and even a concert on Wednesday night with The Chainsmokers and Ellie Goulding.

Cyber Security Chicago

On the heels of enormous security breaches like the recent Equifax hack, businesses with sensitive data, or data of any sort, should be concerned with their company’s security defense. Cyber Security Chicago is aimed at IT managers who are looking to stay on the cusp of the latest defense and risk mitigation efforts in the industry. IoT Tech Expo North America 2017

Intended for IT managers, technology providers, investors and more, the IoT Event will bring together thousands of attendees and hundreds of speakers for a conference that covers the IoT concerning manufacturing, energy, logistics, automotive, and more. Between the three events, almost no tech and IT stone will be left unturned.

Gartner Conference 2017

Round out Q4 with thousands of techies in Las Vegas for the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations Management & Data Center Conference 2017, I’ll just call it Garter Conference 2017 for short. This conference is intended for a business’s infrastructure and operations leadership to help them stay up-to-date on everything related to migrating to the cloud, learning about the impact of AI, IoT, and machine learning, and about how to apply these and other changes across a company. There are eight conference tracks and six spotlight tracks to satisfy different learning objectives. Some of the featured speakers include Chris Riddell from Global Futurist, Tom Koulopoulos from Delphi Group and Gartner’s very own David Cappuccio, among many others.
