4 Appealing Jobs for Freelancers

Since I began freelancing three years ago, I’ve had the opportunity to work with nearly a dozen high-growth companies. I’ve also never had to negotiate on the special prices I charge for my inbound marketing services.

Because I’ve done such an effective job defining my value propositions, branding my company as an expert within our field, and getting my content in front of new SaaS target audiences, I now have a nine-month waiting list for new clients.

However, that certainly didn’t happen overnight. If you’re ready to get serious about freelancing and multiplying your self-employed income, here are my top tips for earning more in your first year as a freelancer.

Freelancing can bring numerous benefits. However, people often believe their area of expertise doesn’t lie in the domain of freelance work. However, someone who works as a programmer, web designer, translator, graphic designer, or writer can easily do freelance jobs.

Here are some jobs that you can do as a freelancer.

Online research
Companies and entrepreneurs need to know which companies offer certain products, compile lists of websites with certain characteristics, or obtain the contact details of a large number of entities. For all these cases, the only skills you need are the ability to read and use a search engine. I’s an activity you can undertake from the comfort of home or a temporary office.

Test web applications and software
QA or testing is a crucial activity in any software development, because it detects problems, bugs or usability flaws in a program. To work as a tester, it’s very helpful to have experience with technology, but it’s not necessary to have knowledge of programming or web design. For certain tests, people with completely unrelated skill sets are occasionally needed to function as real users and provide valuable real-world input.

Proofreading and editing texts
Have you ever spent so much time writing and revising a text that you can’t be sure if it’s correct? Many people and companies are willing to pay someone to proofread and edit text to make sure it’s well written, conveys a clear message, and has no spelling errors.

Non-technical website maintenance
This refers to maintaining products on an ecommerce site, moderating photos and comments from users, or publishing new notes from another medium. Usually, such websites include content management tools that don’t require any technical knowledge.

Final words
The best place to post and find a freelance job is on freelance job portals, where employers and freelancers can view projects and negotiate agreements. Are there any strategies I didn’t cover you’ve used to make big gains in your freelance business? Share with me in the comments, I’m excited to hear them!
